True "Black Light" (2008-12-21)
Don't buy the incandescent type, only a flourescent can offer the desired effects of a black light. These work nicely.

Great while it lasted! (2008-11-13)
My wife and I loved the effect of this bulb, while it lasted. It was much brighter than any other black light (intended for consumers) we'd seen in the past. Unfortunately, it burnt out within about a month of light use (a few minutes a day).

It may have just been a faulty bulb, but considering the high price (for a single bulb, anyway), I'd expect better quality control.

Very nice blacklight (2008-04-08)
Forget those silly deep purple incandescent bulbs, these are real black light that fit into normal light bulb sockets. One word of warning, most glass and plastic covers block the UV but still allow the visible purple light through. It is best to use these bulbs bare.

It works great. (2008-03-13)
I purchased six fluorescent black light bulbs. They all worked very well with the black light posters I ordered soon afterword. They are not a bit like the black incandescent bulbs of the past. These fluorescent black lights work every bit as well as the tubes with the exception that they screw into yout average light socket. I plan to purchase a rack lighting system and filling it with some more fluorescent black lights. I'm very satisfied with my purchases of these lights.

Beautiful blacklight (2008-01-12)
Looks and works like an actual fluorescent blacklight, not like the dim incandescent ones. Can't recommend highly enough.
