About Sigg
It all started with a simple hiker’s bottle. Today, the SIGG bottle has acquired cult status. What happened is a success story that started in Biel, Switzerland in 1908. Küng, Sigg & Cie. manufactured leisure goods, kitchenware, and electrical appliances. The company relocated to Frauenfeld in 1916, where it helped pioneer the legendary tradition of Swiss quality. Since 1998, SIGG has concentrated on its core business: drinking bottles that deliver ultimate customer benefit.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Can Sigg bottles be used for boiling water?
A: No. Strong heat can damage the outer coating.

Q: Can dents in the bottle damage the Sigg bottle's inner coating?
A: No, the Sigg inner coating is highly elastic. Dents cannot crack or chip the internal lining and the Sigg bottle remains perfectly usable.

Q: Can I use my Sigg bottle for carbonated drinks?
A: Yes, all Sigg bottle tops provide a 100 percent seal and will not leak. It's recommended that you fill the bottle no further than 1/2-inch below the lip. And before taking a drink, relieve the pressure inside the bottle by gently rotating the entire top.

Q: Are Sigg bottles dishwasher safe?
A: Yes, but because of the narrow mouth of the bottle, hand washing is recommended.

Q: Can a Sigg bottle be placed in the freezer
A: No, as this may cause the bottle to crack. However, the bottle can be chilled in the refrigerator.

Sigg Traveler Classic Water Bottle (0.6-Liters) (2008-12-08)
this is a christmas gift to be use on a mission trip. I liked the idea that the water will be filtered.

Scratch n Dent (2008-11-27)
I purchased 37 .6L Sigg Traveler Classic bottles. They do not come individually packaged and were sent in a large box some stacked side by side others laying flat on top. There was no protection to keep the bottles from banging around and rubbing against each other. 31 of the 37 were scratched and/or dented. The 6 good ones had a plastic sleeve to protect them. Amazon reordered the 31 and sent a note to shipping to properly package them. 2 days later the 31 replacements arrived with the bottles stacked the same way as the first box. The only difference was that none of these had a plastic sleeve. All 31 were scratched and/or dented. I would not recommend buying more than one at a time to prevent shipping damage. I was not surprised at the scratches based on the packaging (or lack of) but the many dents surprised me. If they could dent like this in the shipping box I am concerned about how durable they will be. Amazon was unable to replace the replacements because they were out of stock (I wonder why?) so I switched to Kleen Kanteen. Hopefully the stainless steel will be a little more durable than the Sigg aluminum.

Water tastes clean and pure (2008-11-23)
I really like my Sigg bottle. It is lightweight, fits into the cupholders in my car, does not leak and is easy to drink from the opening. The ice cubes from my icemaker DO fit into the opening although you have to insert them one at a time. I recently melted some older plastic water bottles in the dishwasher, and had been wanting to replace them anyway with all the concern about BPA in plastics and the funky taste you sometimes get from plastic. There is no funky taste at all with this. We have a Sigg bottle and a Klean Kanteen, the Sigg bottle is much lighter. I am considering getting a bunch of these to give away as Christmas gifts.

Great Bottle, Hard to fill (2008-07-19)
I love the look of my three new SIGG bottles! They are very cool. Only problem is that it is hard for me to fill them with water if I use my fridge water. I have to use my finger squeezed behind the bottle neck to push up the little trigger to get the water to come out. Fridge's fault, not the bottle. On a regular fridge you just push the cup in and the water comes out, but on ours you have to push the cup in and up to release the water. I think we have a TRIO Kenmore. Ice cubes also need to be rinsed for a sec before they will fit in.

Great! (2008-06-26)
I purchased one of these for my husband and myself to replace plastic bottles we had been using. They are great! The colors are vivid and the bottles clean up easily. We definitely will be purchasing more in various sizes. Great product and easy to carry on walks. Even our 4 year old grandson has one of his very own.
